Staff selection
There is a comprehensive procedure for staff selection and vetting with the emphasis on the search for the very best internal or external candidates. Recruitment sources include advertising in local newspapers, Job Centres and recruitment agencies. Once accepted, applicants are subject to a 10 year job history check and two character references. All applicants will be subject to a record check from the criminal records office in conformance with SIA regulations.
Applicants are required to complete a detailed medical history form and can be asked to undertake medical examination if stipulated by the client.
All candidates are assessed on their ability for the position applied for. The selection process includes:
- Reading assessment
- Written assessment
- Driving test (driving positions only)
Once selected all new employees receive ongoing classroom and on site training to ensure the level of competence is maintained.
Further ongoing training provides all employees with the opportunity for promotion and progression within the company.
