Health and safety

It is our policy to maintain a safe and healthy working environment for all our employees and to provide adequate information, training and supervision for this purpose. It is accepted that the health and safety of any other person or persons may be affected by the actions of our staff. Therefore, we endeavour to apply our Health and Safety policy evenly and thoroughly across our organisation.

The company Health and Safety officer is directly responsible to the Board of Directors and represents Charter Security Plc across all levels of authority from Directors to site security teams. The H&S officer will keep all employees up to date with the company H&S policy, representing both employees and clients in all matters relating to H&S. In addition the H&S auditing policy will be regularly implemented and updated to comply with the latest and best practice.

Employees of Charter Security are expected to take reasonable care for the safety of themselves, colleagues and all other persons who may be affected by their actions. Employees will observe the appropriate company guidelines, legislations, codes of practice, safety instructions and approved guidance notes.
